finsished what he came to do....WHY? cause he said so upon the cross...
Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
But that doesn't mean it's all done but lonly what he came to do....which is bring reconcilation and salvation to Israel was finished. He himself said their were things that he could not share with them...Not sure where the verse is for that now though....but I think the first of that more was when he called Paul to preach to the gentles.
Before that Jesus said to the gentle woman...
Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Too he told the other apostles to go to the Israelites....so it was not untill the call of Paul that we begain to see how much more Jesus had to say.....but it was not time.
Why those that only honor Jesus words and don't like Pauls are in error...for Paul was speaking only Jesus words....being the first or chief sinner called directly by Christ Jesus who was placed head of the Kingdom.
Here's a glance at the more that is following Christ ministery and why there is more to come.
"Now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. Yet each one in his own classification: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then the final classification, when Christ delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For Christ must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death. For God has put all things in subjection under the feet of Christ. But when the Father says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that the Father is excluded who put all things in subjection to Christ. When all things become subjected to the Father, the Son Himself will also become subject to this One who subjected all things to Him. This is so that God the Father may be the ALL IN ALL." (1 Corinthians 15:20-28).
so hear you can see all things placed into subject to Christ...expect the Father that is....and in that the Father becomeing ALL in ALL the only thing that is finsihed is the the doing away with the old covenant and the provideing the New covenant.Sense then the march has been on to the end product of all in all unto the Father.
