Let me ask you. I see a more open mindedness from you than I did the last time we talked and I appreciate that. Although I can't seem to remember ALL the topics we discussed but I think our main discussion was in the area of universalism. I think you took the universalism stance, am I correct? If I am, do you STILL take that stance? Is there anything that has happened to you personally that you'd like to share with me? This time our conversation has been more amicable and I apologize if our discussion parted in estranged manner but I hope you understand that I don't think God is a God that just accepts every belief we can dream up and make it church doctrine without hammering out important issues. Paul even encouraged those who are in disagreement IN the church that sometimes diagreements are GOOD. He acknowledged that there were problems at the church in Corinth that were causing division but it should not cause division in the TRUE CHURCH because disagreements lead to learning that which is approved by God.
1 Cor 11:18-19
18 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.
19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval. (NIV)
