There are very many things which are not against the law, but by which people are continually judged by their peers. Judgement is not punishment, it is simply an opinion of one's performance. Every "civilized" person is aware that the golden rule has existed forever, but it is not legally binding on anyone. The ten commandments are basicly common examples of how to keep the golden rule, and God simply made the golden rule a legal requirement for Israel, putting Israel under the law, as it's part in the everlasting old covenant. </P>

All jail sentences are are the result of broken laws, but all broken laws are not jailable offenses...LOL</P>
