Now listen... don't think that I'm looking down my nose at anyone, because I'm just a human too... but, there are churches out there that WANT to do better, that want to help their congregations avoid the 'halloween' holiday, and I salute their attitude, but...I don't know, it just sort of bothers me... they seem to be of the mind that says well, why not just set up a "Fall Festival" type thing, and maybe that will get more of the congregation, and the young people into the church building instead of out there with the rest of the world trick or treating... well, as I said, I'm not looking down my nose at them, because if they are trying, well that's a good thing! But, I just wonder sometimes... why not preach heavily against it, and tell the people what it is, and
who it honors and then let them take that message home with them, and be an example to their neighbors... ?? Hey, why have a "Fall festival" at all? God's Fall Festival is already past by the time Halloween rolls around, and if they REALLY want to worship, and honor God, why not just KEEP HIS FALL FESTIVAL (the Feast of Tabernacles) and let the world take care of itself?? Why try to provide an alternative for Halloween?
The trouble, of course, is that most professing Christians have been told that the Annual Holy Days are done away, when, in fact, they are STILL there, and still fully intact! Just wait! The first thing God is gonna COMMAND from Jerusalem, after He returns, is that ALL nations must keep the Feast of Tabernacles! No need to 'replace' or 'substitute' another humanly devised 'fall festival'... no need to even THINK about Halloween again, ever!!! God's Holy Days will be taught, and KEPT during the 1000 yr reign of Christ!
Are you ready for some REAL celebrating?
