I kinda agree......but.....my contention with only that position is this....

the covenant made with Isreal at Mt. saini.....is what codified His commandment to 'rest ont he Sabbath'...and why is the key question....

because scripture says the reason is because G-d HIMSELF rested on that day and because G-d did this....HE made this day Holy for that reason....

now I also would call attention to these scriptures:

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made" (Gen 2:2-3). "Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD...So the people rested on the seventh day" (Ex 16:23,30). "The Sabbath was made for man" (Mar 2:27)


Now while you may conclude I have made up my minde on this Sherlock, I assure you I have not. I have only been trying to disclose the reasons and arguments that i deal with about this so as to see what you ahve to say and what G-d has shown you on this.

I have yet another question....is your contention that which claims Jesus and the first century apostles did not observe the Sabbath...or ONLy did so...sio they could reach the jews in worship?
