That is what I need to begin to start using instead. Old habits are hard to break. Meaning I have been using my Bible, and even sometimes still copy the scriptures from it still. As well as the older concordance I have, along with the new one.
One thing, I seldom use, is a commentary. In fact, I don't even own one anymore. I know some would say I need to do so.
But do I? I am not totally against using them either. I just believe that sometimes we use those things instead of seeking God for what He wants to tell us. But that is just me guys. Same as I decided not to purchase a Dakes Bible in the beginning too. Which is nothing but a commentary of what he believes is true for the most part. Ok for a once in a while, but for a regular study Bible, no. My daughter advised me on this one. Telling me when someone does use this as their study Bible, they tend you read what Dakes believes God is saying instead of seeking Him for themselves.
And yes, I am a fruitcake to some when I say these things. But thankfully not to all either. There are other fruitcakes out there like me, believe it or not. Hearing voices, as Art and some others would say.
