Response to Re: Focus on "Can God Die?"
Will not work at all when it comes to spiritual issues at all.
Have you read the following scriptures at all written in 1st Corinthians chapter 2.
2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
But especially what it says about spiritual issues, compared to mans logic? Which clearly it says God is a spiritual being. Yet your seeing it thru your own natural logic instead. Which you clearly tell me this be true by telling me to the same. Which is why you clearly see what I do believe as foolish. I know you did not say so. But the Bible does tell me why your telling me to think logical about what is clearly a spiritual issue, not a natural one.
It also tells me without receiving this revealing by what it says about one receiving the mind of Christ about such, until you seek Him for this, we will never agree at all. Because while I believe in keeping a balance about tossing all logic out. When it comes to spiritual understanding, I must do so to find out the truth from Him. And as long as I try to figure out what God is naturally, I will never see what He wants at all. That is why it says we are to get understanding from the Lord instead of our own mind and logical thoughts.
And that, of course, is how we begin to get the mind of Christ, in place of our own understanding coming from our own natural thoughts Phil.
Meaning evidently you don't have a clue as to what Paul is telling the Church at Corinth there at all.
It is also why you cannot understand how God could come in the flesh as a natural man as well.
In fact, you cannot understand how God can be One Spirit being yet manifest Himself for different purposes in more than one way as well. Because your logic does not compute when it comes to seeing in the spiritual realm at all. At least so far it does not.
Which is why we cannot agree with much of what you are seeing.
Plus the scriptures I have given to you to check out, about why God did not die but Jesus Christ did, you also ignore as well. Because you don't understand what did happen when he did do what it says there in Mt. 27:
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
Meaning He could not die because of who He actually was until He "yielded up the ghost.", allowing the man that had shed blood for us to finally die for all that belonged to Him that had died before, could be returned to God. And all those following could follow. Which is why it tells us what took place thereafter.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Sadly that Centurion understood more about who he was then you seem to.
Meaning that was no doubt the beginning of that first resurrection. The same that is still going on today as I now see it. Which is why scripture tells us some do not sleep after all.
My deciding to post the scriptures for you this time. Rather than depending on you to look them up as I do with most.
