Sometimes, I wonder... don't you?
When you think about God and Christ, what picture comes to mind?
The human mind is always at the ready, to try and visualize something.
When another person is talking to you, and attempting to describe something.. either a person or an object, you mind will automatically try to visualize it...
But, you know that already. What about God? If your child asks, "What does God look like?" ... what would you say? Now, I realize that some feel that God shouldn't be visualized, but even for them, whether they admit it or not, their minds will try to 'see' or visualize whatever they are taking about... the attempt may only last a few seconds, (squelched by their belief that they shouldn't do it)... but it will happen.
That little child, again, so innocent, inquiring as the what God looks like... and then they might ask, "What does God do all day"?...
How would you answer that?
I asked myself that question and immediately, my mind visualized Him as sitting on His Throne, ruling and answering prayers...
But then, I thought... Is that all He does?
Doesn't God have a 'personal' life... (Eternal Life with no time to Himself, seems so... 'not right')....
How would you like to live forever, "always at work"?????
So, what about your understanding? Does God mind if we try to visualize Him? Or does He even make an attempt to show us?
And what about us trying to grasp and understand what He does all day?
I know that we all have our own views on these things and that is what I invite you to share. We may disagree, or we may not... doesn't matter really...
Does God sit on the Throne, with Christ at His right hand, ruling and governing the universe, answering prayers and issuing commands... all the time?
Is that all He does?
