Event: The 2nd Northwest CMK Symposium with Al Khamsa horses also invited.
Special longterm-breeders panel includes Bazy Tankersly, Margaret Van Gilder and our own Charles Craver.
Dinner Saturday night & breakfasts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday AMs during the slide shows.
Tentative program:
Thursday evening: Ice cream social and settleing in of horses
Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings: Slide show of the ancestors of the horses which will be presented in the afternoon. Primary speaker will be the extraordinarily knowledgeable, Michael Bowling, geneticist at U of California, Davis.
Each afternoon: Horses presented in hand in the arena according to breeding groups and bloodline ties.
The DAVENPORT folks have reserved the arena for Friday night for a special celebration of the Davenport horses - (which are both CMK and Al Khamsa). Members of Homers extended family will be there to learn something about these special Arabians. The Davenport Conservancy will have a get-to-gether. We will present some horses under saddle and in hand and generally have a grand time
