Although both women were starkly different each inside of them had the spirit of rebellion.
Reena curled up over one of the heaters in her apartment, close to a window that faced a brick wall. She felt very close to this wall. It reminded her of all of the hardship in her life. The obsticles that mainly her father caused. She gritted her teeth, reminded of the phone call earlier this morning.
"I'm dying Reena."
"This is some kind of cruel joke. I'm not falling for it this time John."
Her deep brown eyes were watering. She refused to beleive her dad. If it were true, she convinced herself that she'd refuse to cry.
She was a beautiful liar.
Mel woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. It was rare where her mother made bacon and eggs. She perked a brow and rubbed her face in a little bit of confusion. Her mother was a hardcore vegan.
She slipped on her nightcoat, pulling her hair into a loose ponytail on top of her head and poked her head out of her room. To her eyes before her came the image she'd only really have seen on tv. Mom at the stove, cooking for Dad who sat at the table, reading a leatherbound book, drinking some tea. Her eyes lit up.
"Dad?"
"Hey Starshine."
Mel rubbed her eyes again and confusingly sat at the table. Mel's mother turned with a little smile.
"Your dad's going to stay with us for a little while."
Mel's response was only a small smile, as Mr. Lauren passed her some eggs.
