She'd gotten a phone call from Celeste's mother after it had happened. Heather quickly offered to rush over and stay at the house to watch the kids soe Mrs. Wilkens could be with her daughter. Heather wanted to too, but she knew she'd be more helpful this way. Once the kids were back in bed she called the hospital every so often to check up on Celeste's condition. She tried to hold back tears every time she spoke on the phone but they forced their way through her throat.
