Just brought the civic, (automatic tranny-BOO) in need of serious HP and Tq gain, Fuck it, just need to be fast and furious. Currently saving to buy a H22 with 220 hp at 7200rpms and 153lbs of trq at 6500rpms,(11.0 Compression Ratio - DOHC VTEC). Question: will the extra weight of the H22a (385lbs) affect engine performance? 2.How much more speed can I expect after the swap? (tops out round 124mph now.) What types of mounts/brackets should I use, and the name/email/telephone of REPUTABLE AND EXPERIENCED, I repeat EXPERIENCED shop in N.J or the East Coast.
