Build a D15B?

I know this might sound a bit dumb, but would I be able to get a reliable 200 to 220 hp from a 2000 dx hatch? I don't race any I just want a quick and nimble car for daily driving. Would parts for a SOHC non-VTEC be hard to find since people rarely build those? Would I be better off saving for a B16? Any help would be appreciated.
