I am a 40 year old woman . I have hair almost to my waist which I am intentionally growing long to cut it . I have a niece who is 19 and has cancer, her hair has grown back now, but she could have used a good wig when she underwent chemotherapy. So, I am growing my hair in order to have it cut to donate to the "Locks for Love" foundation which will make wigs out of it for cancer patients. So, if you want to cut your hair, or think you would feel better trying it short, try donating it to a child with no hair, suffering from cancer. After all, you can always let it grow again, once you have it cut. They only need for your hair to be 10 inches long for them to cut it to make a wig.
