W o m e n Leaders & this site

Whilst reading all these entertaining threads I've recognised a significant pattern appearing.

It seems everyone has something to say. No doubts about it! freedom of expression has taken a great impact on this Internet. But why, all you ladies on here sound so motivating, inspiring and passionate about advocating the woman's position in our society. Yet, somehow I don't see women like you leading the pack in our provocative male orientated governing system. But how can that be? I think it's fair to say that the majority of the elected leaders who seat their ass on the chairs in parliament are as dumb as eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. My only wish is to see you ladies taking a stance publicly with your opinions for they seem ever so encouraging on here! If only we didn't have to hide behind these hideous names... I tell you what, things would definitely change around here if we all got together.

WE know a very large proportion of politicians are money hungry, lets get over that issue. We all whinge about it, but have we actually tried to do something? Encourage the women around you for goodness sake, stir up the men, we ceraintly can make a change. It's never too late. Speak out!

If you think the women whom ever so "humbly" represent us are not suitable then isn't it so easy to replace them, considering we put them there in the first place?

I don't like the women who have a circus day on here criticising other women groups and their progress... what I'd like to ask them is, how come they aren't involved? where are they?

Senior Women + Young Women, we can't sit back and whinge about things. Not only is that pathetic but we'll look like absolute tossers, and that's with all due respect. We are all worth it~

ADVICE, express your concerns to significant womens groups or women leaders... Importantly, add solutions as to what you think they should do or not do.

I'm 19, a young Papua New Guinea woman, and if you think what I've just said is rubbish than that's entirely up to you. I'm not here to win an Academy Award or a Medal from the Queen. I'm using my rights of expression. I don't mind standing behind my real name, but I think it's fair that once you do I will.

**God Bless**

You sound like a very positive young woman and I hope you go on to bigger and better things.Actually, after a while,on all of these forums we all begin to know who each one of us is as every now and then a little hint is dropped. Most of you know who I am and I have always made it quite clear.Probably the only one who has us guessing all the time is "Buffy's Vampire".For years, whenever there was a key issue,I would take the time to write to the National Council of Women etc to make a stand on the issue(e.g.Gun Control) and never once,in all the years did I ever get any kind of written acknowledgement or even see them take a stand. If we all band together we are a very powerful unit-just like students in overseas countries are-and our students used to be before the police starting shooting them.I have no objection to the women who are in power. We have some great women leaders-we just aren't getting anywhere. It is too late for women like me as I am 55 but it is never too late for young ones like you and I(and others like me) will be here to encourage you.Go for it girl!

Yes, yes, yes

But the question still remains. Do you avoid relationships with Black men?

Certainly you find atleast "some" of us attractive. Don't you like our muscles, music, and style? Would black men be allowed in your country to marry New Guinea women the way white men did? Why was it OK if they did it but "we're" not wanted? What did "we" do?

Are most of you "real" New Guinea women or Oriental women who have settled on the Island and have racist beliefs? As I've seen, most tribal women loved black men until whites came and turned them against us.

The problem

These women's groups are firstly, they're too political (they say they're for supporting women, but most of their activities are having meetings for themselves and raising money for themselves). Also, frankly, the women who are in these groups tend to be melanesian oriented in toktok only. They're often female equivalents of our male leaders, who are mostly conmen. You see all this in the women's groups and a lot of good women come to the conclusion that its much better to work constructively in your own community without waving the flag so that others can see what you're doing.
