Its sad to see such a high rate of prostitution tasol we must keep in mind the high rate of unemployment and the need to survive. These sisters of ours are not just 2kinas, ol tu gat suave, they just need assistance in locating and using other avenues for work, em tasol. I think we also need to keep in mind that there will always be a demand for the sex industry whether you live in Iran, the US or PNG and so they too need education on the risks of thier ocupations and need laws in place that will keep this a safe and legal practice. I know a lot of people will not agree with me on this tasol prostitution will not go away so legalising safe, clean brothels would be better.

I agree to a certain extent. I do see a way out of prostitution in OUR CULTURE due to the fact that as women we have the option to stay in the village na wokim gaden or farm or fish for a livlihood. It's not like in Australia where youR pretty much forced to depend on bought foods because thy have no "village" setting that they came from.(Aborigines not included).
It's still a choice to become a prostitute.Everyone has the option to become one or not. Why do some of us take up that route and others not. I think it boils down to principles and upbringing. Certain cultures are more lax to prostitution. I wonder if this makes a difference but I would be interested to know the facts of what percentage of sexworkers in a city like POM are from what province. I wonder if a study has been done and whether they found a high percentage of sex workers from a province outside of Central for example.
Em tasol. Just my thoughts. We could learn alot from a behavioural study on this subject. | |
