Does anyone know if the overseas students receive money monthly or annually for personal pocket money from the PNG government? How do you students pay for personal items and outings overseas? Does the government help you get jobs tht pay you part time as students and employees?

Many of the PNG students studying overseas are under the Scholarship from the Australian Government, which is called AUSAID.

The AUSAID scholarship is for both PUBLIC and PRIVATE sector and also the general category that the Expression of interest form comes up in the Local newspapers at the beginning of the year.

The AUSAID scholarship provides the allowances to the students with a fortnightly salary of $585.00 for single students and $795.00 for students with dependents.

If you are interested to know more specific details please post your specific contact details as a reply to this message so I can contact you direct.

For your information Iam currently a student under the AUSAID scholarship.

Thankyou.
