WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT - Is there a recognised body?

May 31 2001 at 8:37 PM

Good evening everyone,

Im a Papua New Guinean student currently studying in the field of management down here in QLD. I heard from someone that there was a meeting/conference of some kind at the (then)Port Moresby Travelodge last year on Women In Management. Could anybody tell me wether there is a body or committee for this group of women?
What issues were discussed and where can I get more information on the issue as I had to resign from my job to persue my studies.

Anything at all from anyone would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Congratulations and my best wishes to you on your field of study. This is one area where PNG has failed miserably and is no longer an area that our pollies consider on the basis of merit. Nil Zero that is why we have this spiralling effect of a corrupt economy.
I heard about the workshop, but mi sot long tingim. I suggest you try the pm's webpages and it might lead you to the information if it is of any help at all. Try <http://www.pm.gov.pg>; and click on the press release. I have found this page very usefull and read a lot of stuff on a daily basis.
