Lessee if I got this right, Papworth didn't like the noisy streetcars passing in front of his house, which was where Metairie Towers is today. He donated part of his land for a right-of-way so the streetcars could turn off Metairie Road and travel on Carrollton Street to Narcissus Street and then back to Metairie Road again.
