The dog chewed it up

Not the whole book, just the final pages. before I had the chance to finish it.

It's a shame I'm no longer teaching because for the first time I'm considering that a dog could actually eat the homework.

I had this happen to a 1st grader

when I was a teacher's assistant about 10 years ago. The mother came up to the school with the remains of the homework paper so we'd believe the kid!
