Satoshi Tomiie is, quite simply, Japan's most successful international DJ and House producer. He’s teamed up with legendary DJ Frankie Knuckles and co-produced "Tears", a defining moment in vocal house and a song now commonly regarded as an all time classic. He has remixed and worked with the likes of David Bowie, U2, Mariah Carey, just to name a few. In 2000 Satoshi wrote and produced his debut album for Sony entitled "Full Lick,” which was met with critical acclaim by his fans and the press. "Up in Flames", one of the singles from the album, included mixes from John Digweed and became a number one dance hit in the UK. It is also featured on a number of mix CD’s including Global Underground mixed by Steve Lawler. Recently, Satoshi launched his own label SAW.RECORDINGS. His first single entitled "Paranoize" by Bipath has caused major excitement from DJ's worldwide. SAW.RECORDINGS is an example of the direction that Satoshi is heading in, acknowledging the changes in the dance music scene, thus shifting what House music is. House music never stops evolving and expanding its borders and Satoshi Tomiie will be in the forefront of this movement. From: http://www.sato****omiie.com/

There is just no stopping Total Science. Probably the most prolific drum ‘n’ bass producers of the past two years, this duo has been one of the major reasons for the recent upsurge in the musical popularity of drum ‘n’ bass. Their influences stem from the UK rave scene’s golden years, redefining for a new generation what jungle’s original vibe was — breakbeat mayhem, sub-basslines, wicked riffs and snatches of trippy vocals, all making for a mind****ing sound that can’t be found in any other genre of dance music. Over the past year, a short list of their anthems include “Jungle Jungle,” “Make Me Feel,” “Face Riders,” and “Freeze.” But these records are just the tip of the musical iceberg. The “Tuned-In” LP, plus side projects by Q Project and releases under aliases such as Legacy, all point to an outpouring of material that no other drum ‘n’ bass producer can rival. Tonight they are back at Buzz!
