unfortunately, when it comes to things like how we percieve reality, we tend to take little stock in faith, and more stock in fact. those within the cave will most likely not be totally persuaded until actually taken out of the cave, and into the light.
now he may have some idea of what lies outside, and may even believe, but he will never know until he sees it for himself.
