Don't we on Earth lead each other, each in different turns; contributing our strengths when strong, and our yearnings when in need?
Doing good [things, acts] is the key to the good?
Excellent! It's so basic and straitforward. The simple act of doing something good for someone is sure to raise one's self, at least incrementally. But wait. I just thought of something. Stalin did more good acts for Russia then anyone since. He also did more bad. Hitler built the Autobahn. Mussolini kept the trains running on time. Etc....
Perhaps the key is doing good more than bad. Like Andrew Jackson. He sent the Cherokee on the Trail of Tears. But he probably did more good than bad. Was that the key to enlightenment for him? Is their a certain quantity of good deeds that reaches a ‘critical mass’ before exploding into enlightenment?
And rightness. Certainly a part of goodness. But many say that what's right for one is not necessarily right for another, what's good for one is not necessarily good for another.
Furthermore, there are so many good and right deeds which at another time become wrong and destructive. Now I'm confused. Perhaps only certain types of good acts are the solution?
I hope you can unbind this tangly mess my mind is in, Platonia. See how much thinking leads to much confusion? Good Luck. If you can straiten me out, I'm sure that you could straiten out just about anyone. Thanks for your patience.
