Response to The Allegory of the Cave and the Divided Line

 

So the "senses of perception or shadow casters," in Plato's state, are the philoshopher kings or gaurdians and the people who can only see the shadows and opinions are everyone else (soldiers, common laborers)? Since the philosopher kings manipulate the rest of the state's knowledge from birth, they could be considered the shadow casters, who limit the view of the forms, because the people without knowledge couldn't comprehend them.
