plato it is surmised to see educ. as the key to constructing a better society. plato thus asks us (via allegory of the cave) to examine what this process of educ entails; i.e. how do we become educated of what is of truth, reality and goodness? i have some idea of these questions but need help with the following: how does the view presented in the allegory depend upon the existence of absolute knowledge(via forms)? what is then the moral of the allegory - meaning significance of the symbolism of one's life, humanity and the practice and person of educ? HOW DOES PLATO WANT US TO UNDERSTAND THE PROPER USE OF ONE'S EDUC?

ideas and pointers r desperately needed if possible by apr 4.

thank u!
