I am unable to give an answer on this one. Perhaps those with better knowledge on the workings of the Finnish HQ and the generals can provide an answer.
One theory is that the generals so stubbornly refused to believe of any possibility of an assault, that they simply shielded the old marshall from such worries.
Good thing being, the old marshall took necessary and forceful steps after the attack started and made correct decisions, that enabled the army to repel the assault. |
