I think it's more of semantics, if you want to insist that it was a Warhawk, not Kittyhawk. Correct me if I am wrong, but Kittyhawk III is pretty much the same as P-40M Warhawk. The only difference was that the ones that went to the RAF, RAAF and RNZAF were called Kittyhawk IIIs and the ones that went to the Soviet Union were P-40M Warhawks (in addition to other subtypes).
