Hello,

I have stumbled across some data for the performance of the Finnish Brewster Buffalo in another thread. I was wondering if this might be at all accurate. Anybody know?

Some additional numbers...

From Finnish "Guide to Brewster B239 pilots"

Engine Wright Cyclole R1820-G205 (written note, not sure about the handwriting on the engine name)

Highest speed 5578 meters altitude 582,5 km/h
Cruising speed 4267 meters altitude 495,6 km/h
Landing speed 109,5 km/h
Climb speed near sea level 914m/s

Climb speeds:
To - Time
1000m 1,1min
2000m 2,2 min
3000m 3,5 min
4000m 4,8 min
5000m 6,3 min
6000m 8,0 min
7000m 9,8 min
8000m 12,1 min

Takeoff lenght to 7,5m/sek climb 78 meters.

Don't know if these are factory numbers or Finnish test flight data results.

Appreciate any info on this. This performance seems too fast for a buffalo but maybe somebody here knows.

Kittos! -Ed-
