A Book in 2007

The Pe-8 which crashed in Lapinjärvi, Finland was subject to a book called "Pommituslento Berliiniin : pakkolasku Lapinjärvelle" by Esko Sipiläinen. The book was published in 2007, and it is Finnish language.

An interesting detail is, that there were a couple of colour photos taken of the wreck in 1941. Colour photographing was rather rare during the WW2 in Finland. These photos were published already in the 1980's in a magazine called "Mobilisti".

Another interesting detail is that the navigator parachuted before the rest of the crew and even somehow jammed the jumping door. After he and the other crew member were taken POW's and jailed together he was badly beaten by his comrades.
