To be fair to Serbs and other ethnic gropups (hey, that means all of us!),
it was more an indicationof the fact that it was probably in Latinamrerica. A search of the RSSSF archives shows pretty convincingly that soccer matches, especially in the 70s´, often spiralled out of control, as shown by the match in El Salvador the next year with the Mexican club. And, I am not saying it is becaus eof Latinos, rather the society in foreign latino countries. Matches still get stopped on a regular basis in Argentina, wehere I now live, and Brazil for this.
