What with there finally being some cricket last weekend I thought the Marches forum might pick up a bit... What's happened to all of the Monmouth players who used to post on here when they were in the Marches? Haven't they got any views on their chances of going up this season in the Worcestershire League? Looks like being a good battle in Div 3 South between them, Wormelow, Colwall, Worcester Dominies & Guild and maybe Old Vigornians. Will the mighty Colwall not even go up?!!

Yes Statto, as usual your right, shaping up to be a very competitive league. Colwall strong favourites, and then any 1 from maybe 3/4 sides chasing the (possible) other promotion spot.

Had to laugh after Colwall scored 301-6 dec then lost by 9 wickets last week. Good wins for Monmouth and Wormelow again, who would've thought that the Marches was a better standard than Glos/Wilts League Div 1?!

i think colwall are struggling for bowlers right now, so i'm lead to believe anyway. Plenty of the season left to play and hopefully we can hold on to our lead but there are 4/5 capable teams of pushing for that top spot

hope the marches league is going well for the rest of you

Hi Boults,

Well done on your great start to worcester league, could be
a very interesting battle for promotion in that league.
Marches league is pretty poor tbo goodrich and garnons look
favourites for title Crickhowell started well as did we but dropping 20 catches in 2 games hasnt helped our cause!!!

The rumour has it that Kinga threw his toys out of the pram against Talgarth - threatened one of their players by all accounts? Is Glyn Harrhy back playing or what? Kinga isn't a great advert for the teaching profession is he!?!?

Hi Mr Crick for the title, there was a small incident against Talgarth as there always is but Mr Harry definately wasnt there, it appears he is scoring loads of runs for Brecon these days.
The matter itself was nout serious and the Kinga definately didnt
threaten anyone, it was just our annual sparing session with Talgarth which for once we actually managed to win

So the story of him racing around the boundary to threaten the blond fella who got him out isn't true then? Sounds like someones hiding something here? It seems to me that Kinga may be a bit of a racist as he always seems to get involved in trouble with Talgarth - perhaps they should report him to the league...?

Talgarth are a DISGRACE

The only ones who should be reported to the League are the morons who play for Talgarth Cricket Club. They are a disgrace to the League, the game of cricket and to society in general. Not all of them mind you. But who in their right minds would spout obscenities and racist comments right in front of a tea lady. At least some had the decency to apologise. No wonder you can't get any volunteers at cricket clubs these days. Talgarth should thank their lucky stars that B&T will let the matter drop. The club is imploding on their own accord. They don't need outside help to attain their goal.
