Ok fellas whats the likelihood of another Goodrich double this campaign? I hear garnons have a new leggie who has impressed and will Kington field strong sides? My bets on B&TCC apparently recruited well in close season depends how good the kiwi is this year i suppose.

Taughts one and all?

I hear B&T C.C. have tried recruiting anyone and everyone but i don't think they will win it. Crickhowell will be the team to beat as they have apparently merged with Abergavenny and will get some of there 2nd team players playing for crickhowell.

I always liked B&T when I played in the Marches. Good bunch of lads. Mind you if I came back, and there is a possibility, I would play for them now that the famous wellie boys are defunct. It depends what deal they are prepared to offer.

Mind you I wouldn't mind playing in the sheep shaggers league to slap my mate Morris all round the park. It wouldn't take me long to reach 150 tons playing in that league.

I still have my contacts in the Marches and the top 3 this year will be Goodrich, Kington and B&T. Not necessarily in that order.

I think Crickhowell will be a lot weaker with it mostly being made up of Abergavenny 3rd and 4ths.

Having played Burghill preseason I have to say they are probably going to walk Division 1 this year. Their overseas looks a very very useful player. Look like they have the bowling and batting to beat most.

Monmouth along with Wormelow, Cannon Fodder and Ross have all left the Marches League.

Bit of a step up to Division 2 then? To be fair Barnards Green (291 v Wormelow on Saturday) have been a good batting side for a few years. Was surprised to see Monmouth hammered by Malvern though.

so it would seem, hopefully Wormelow can forget about it and move on. Barnards Green are one of the favourites in that league so they shouldnt lose heart!

Poor old Colwall tho, what were the famous words of Mr King last year 'in 3 years we will be in the birmingham league', 'we are the best team in herefordshire'

ho ho ho

Well I wouldn't go that far. But Most of the better Talgarth players, and Neil, play for Brecon now. They must be gutted because the marches league is really going places!

C'mon Mr Anonymous have the courage of your convictions and let's see who you are. I am not a fan of Mr Morris but at least he puts his name to his threads.

Nothing wrong in being fat my dear boy. Comes in handy in the cold weather. I'm beginning to think there may be something in this climate change after all. Four months ago it was very cold and now it's quite warm.

You won't believe the people I see in Notts. I recently saw TV impressionist Alistair McGowan walking down the platform at Nottingham train station, dragging a suitcase and wearing a straw hat. It was rubbish. I hadn't got a clue who he was supposed to be, and it wasn't funny anyway. If that's what the BBC thinks passes for entertainment, then I shall not be renewing my TV licence.

I tell you what it's great living in Nottingham. I had to laugh the other day. A man came round to read the electricity meter. I didn't get the bill until four days later, by which time I'd used another 16.367kWh. Four days' free electricity. Can't be bad lads.

What do you pillocks think of Tony Blair. Shame he is standing down to give that twat face Browmn the reins. I know he took us into an illegal war on the misconception that Iraq had acquired weapons of mass destruction. The number of troops killed has reached over a hundred, and the number of Iraqi civilians killed does not bear thinking about. Even today with the war officially over, soldiers and civilians are being killed on a daily basis by insurgents. A lifelong, Labour voter, I vowed never to vote for Tony Blair or the government he represents ever again after his scandal-ridden premiership. But when he did that'am I bovvered' sketch with Catherine Tait on Comic Relief night, I screamed with laughter. Well done, Tony, you've got my vote back.

Your all wrong, Kington 3rds will win the league. They have a good mix of experience and youth. If they do win it, it doresnt say much about the marches league if a 3rd team wins the title.........
