This is why the Worcester League is so much better that the sick man of the Marches. Penalties fit the crime.

Penalties:- * Pershore deducted 1 point for slow over rate & 5 for incorrect game cancellation
Brockhampton deducted 24pts for registration irregularities.

i find it quite sad that bromyard (a team with 3 cricketers) feel the need to try and stop their rivals by reporting them for trivial offences. This however doesnt really suprise me as they need to do something to make up for their lack of ability on the pitch!

Rules are rules Mr Brockhampton. So much unnecessary sadness is caused by guilt!!

Surprised Bromyard have the time to investigate whether somebody's on the books. Mind you, Brock have "form" having had points deducted in previous seasons and they don't seem to make themselves terribly popular with local folk

That's because they consider themselves big-time charlies. They need to learn what humility is. How you win is just as important as winning itself.

i love the way people with ambition and ability seem to be disliked! Brockhampton, like any club, may have some 'interesting personalities' however on the whole they have ambition and a drive to win which can be seen by some as arrogance. I suggest most criticism comes out of jealousy as those who know many of the Brockhampton players will know that they are focussed cricketer's who want to improve the standard of Herefordshire cricket not just for themselves but for future young talent in Herefordshire who want to play cricket at a high standard. Its a shame that other clubs such as Bromyard fail to see the bigger picture and have more selfish short term thoughts in mind!

you can have ambition, ability, a drive to win, be focused, however you want to describe the Brock players. But you can be a winner with all those attributes and still be gracious, humble, courteous and unassuming. Look at Roger Federer and Lewis Hamilton. When you lose, imitate the behaviour of the winner.

I understand your point, however i feel you are being a little harsh on the said team! I dont believe the team have lost more than once this year and on that day they were gracious as they were beaten by a better side. There is a fine line between arrogance and confidence!

Should make the b'yard - brock game a bit more interesting, should have been a good game even before this latest fiasco. Look forward to hearing the result of that one! Lets hope the talking is done on the field.

The game itself should be very intense due to one Bromyard 'player', its a shame really as the clubs have always had a friendly/competitive history, sadly due to a token non cricketer it looks like this has come to an end!

I personally hope we are rained off that day, would love to watch that grudge game. Both sides have some fiery characters (and as you say some non cricketers).Would imagine some serious banter will be flying around.

I can only see one winner in the cricket and in the banter stakes, however there may perhaps be a change in that result after following weeks as im sure Brockhampton players will be reported for wearing spikes that are too long, or perhaps using an illegal bat or some other insignificant item that Bromyard want to moan about. Its a sad day when cricket cant just be played on the pitch xi vs xi, however as iv said b4 when one team is so far behind in quality they often have to go to any lengths to compete! I can imagine Statto now as we speak reading through the worcester league handbook underlining possible rules which they may be able to plead to the committee with! Spend some more time in the nets Statto because you really need it!

Well it was a close game and as predicted Statto played well! I see from their website that Statto himself is 'leading run scorer', its nice to see someone fills their boots in sunday games!

Knowing Statto he'll relish the challenge. He loves his rules though. but I suppose if you are prepared to break them accept the consequences. when is the game

Brock are spending £500 a game on their two pros and it looks likely they will still not win the league. Wouldn't it have made more financial sense to spend a tenner a week for a decent administrator. Statto might be interested if they can afford an extra fiver!!

Get a life Hewlett, and while you're at it learn how to bowl. You should be standing at an ochey not a bowling crease with that action.

i have you know hewlett is a very capable bowler! taken plenty of wickets this season. so can we have no comments like that from blatent non-cricketers. at least brock are full of decent players who dont embarass themselves.
