| Firestone tire recall. Who's to blame? Ford or Firestone?August 30 2000 at 9:15 PM | CR-V Boy | |

I know that Firestone is to blame for the bad quality tires but I also know that Ford isn't exacly squeaky clean either. Like come on, if they would have bothered to test the Explorer with the tires than a lot of this could have been avoided. But knowing Ford they just scraped together what ever and then began mass producing it at a good price. If you go back and really think about it, it seems that Ford is the company that always has the huge recalls. Remember when the tires and wheels were comming of the Expeditions? Or what about their on going cruise control problem in which the cruise control takes full control over the car, going WOT a lot of the time even though you have depressed the brake pedal. I also remember that some Fords would catch fire if you turned they key a little too fast. The list goes on and on. Honda on the other hand takes time to produce a new car, taking months for testing. Thats why Honda's are so reliable and have such few recalls, because Honda fixes problems before they happen. Well this is just my opinion.
What do you say?
Thanks
