Mazda Tribute...my take on it...

Hey all,

My friend is looking to buy the Mazda Tribute. We went to a nearby dealer and looked at the LX V6 2WD version:

- Rear suspension: shocks and springs are separate (not struts); the lower arm seems whimpier than ours
- Ground clearance: seem higher than ours
- Doors: is lighter than ours (not as substantial as ours); closes with a "tinier" sound
- Interior materials: cheaper than ours (significantly); doors have hard plastic all over; A/C controls look and feel very plasticky
- Interior room: about same as ours; it does have a small subwoofer in the right rear cargo area (kinda cool for aftermarket mods)
- Exterior: VERY nice, but no attachment points for skidplates seen (with my near-sightedness)

Overall, i think the selling points to this SUV are: V6, big interior/exterior relatively, V6, V6, V6...you get my point.... Now, if only Honda can come out with a powerful engine, it would really kick ass!

Thanks,
Thai.
