nordwest plastics

by

hi,just looking at this site after getting web site from bob right.i have a 1993/4 nordwest & have had problems with cracking plastic faring parts!!!i have found the best way to mend them is with very thin aluminium that is easily bent/shaped.method-cut with tin snips to shape & form the ally to the contours of the back [unseen side] of the plastic panel to be repaired.when this is done, use clear silicon mastic to glue the shaped ally part to the cracked plastic panel.after couple of hours when it is thoughrally set the repair is done, any holes for bolts/screws can be carefully redrilled.hope this helps.lol hartley.

Parts and 202 Info please

by

Hy you leftside driving Guys.
I'm looking for a pare of 202 (1966) fenders, esspecially the front one.
Does anyone know of this bike actually is a 175 cc?(so why the 202 name).
And then, because of my own impatience(read: stupidity) i'm looking for a camshaft of a 98 cc Giubileo.
When i was heating my clutch drum to remove it i torched the (nylon?) gear of the camshaft.

And the clutch hub is still stuck on the axle, it shoud be only sit one a tapered axle?

If you have the requested parts (and clutch plates and gaskets etc etc)

Please let me know.

Bob wright sounds friendly on the phone but the contact by e-mail costs a lot of unanswered efford.

unfair comments

by

As the person who spent the time scanning and sending pictures of how to remove the cam gear to you I would ask you to re think your comments. When we heard of a problem we forwarded our replies to the owners club so they could see we had sent them.
I spend alot of time sending information to people to try and help and very rarely get any thanks for my time.

Gilera delar

by

Hej!

Testade lite, men tändningen krånglar.

Mvh Styrbjörn i Vara, sverige

50th anniversary of 1st 100 mph lap of TT Circuit

by

Sat/Sun 14/15 Jul 2007 is the date,
Mallory Park Circuit UK is the place,
Festival of 1,000 Bikes is the event where The I Gotta Gilera Owners Club of Britain will be celebrating the late Bob McIntyre's 100 mph lap of the TT circuit 50 years ago.
It is our intention to have a static display of as many Gilera bikes as we can get, together with some "parade laps" for a limited number of Gileras.
ALL Gilera motorbikes will be welcome (whether Club Members or not), all we ask is that you register your intent to display your bike by emailing us at gilera@igottagilera.co.uk so we can get an idea of the size of area we will require.
To all those non Club Members out there who own/ride a Gilera, we ask you to please help us to make this event as memorable as possible by coming along to ensure this will be the largest collection of Gileras ever displayed in one place.
As part of the normal "Festival" activities so well organised by the V.M.C.C., they have permitted us to have our "anniversary celebration" as an integral part of the Festival. If you've attended a previous Festival of 1,000 Bikes, you'll already know that it is a great weekend, if you've not been before, come along to enjoy what will be on offer together with being a part of the Gilera celebrations.
It is hoped that Gilera owners from other Countries will also make the trip across the channel to join us and again we ask that you email us to let us know. There is camping available at the circuit and if we can arrange it that those overseas visitors arrive in Britain together, we can arrange to meet you off the ferry and escort you to the circuit.
