Yeah, at some point we have something uncaused. Acausal, whatever you want to call it. The alternatives seem to be infinite regression or one uncaused "thing". I go with the latter.
At that point it becomes philosophy, doesn't it?
I've read arguments for an uncaused, always existing Universe. It seems philosophically the same argument as an uncaused, always existing God.
Except we have material evidence for a Universe existing. Although it does appear to have had a beginning and is conjectured to have an end.
