Slavery: The Catholic church has never made any statements other than endorseing slavery. Every Papal Bull concerning slavery has actually endorsed it.
The Lakota Nation has ever since the late 1800s petitioned the Pope to issue a Bull denoucing slavery and the petition has always been denied. Go figure.
