E W GarnhambyI've posted messages before re Miss Gill. If anyone saw 2 soggy people squelching through the churchyard in September it was us taking notes and photos of our Gill, Garnham and Brown ancestors gravestones. But somehow we missed Edward William Garnham, the hard-drinking draper (his shop was in Main St I believe). I've been trying to track him down online and came across a google-books reference to that 'sneak Ted' in a book called Folklore of Leicestershire and Rutland by Roy Palmer. I've obtained the book but the poem isn't there! Does anyone know if EW is in the graveyard, or does anyone have a different edition of the book with the poem in? I have the 2002 reprint, perhaps its only in the original 1985 version. Supposedly on p253/254. Many thanks for past information and assistance. Jill Respond to this message Goto Forum Home
