  • A Great Night Out - 7th November

    • Posted Oct 29, 2008 10:02 PM

On Friday 7th November the lively professional folk duo Norcsalordie will be playing at the Berkeley Arms - start time 8:30 pm. Included in their repertoire is a cracking version of a song called "The Wymondham Fight" based on the 1811 world title fight between Tom Cribb of England and Tom Molyneux of America. The fight was held at Thistleton Gap. You can hear a recording of the song on the band's website www.myspace.com/norcsalordie and other demos of their music at www.norcsalordie.com/demos

These young men from Leicester are building a following around the country playing regularly in Derbyshire, Somerset and Kent as well as having played two short tours in Germany. For those who say they don't like folk music - give it a chance this is not your ordinary folk - as one Leicester musician said "They have a unique take on an old fashioned style of music, which makes it both contemporary and engaging"

Hope to see you on the 7th when The Wymondham Fight returns to Wymondham!
