  • Dent family history

I am researching the dent family history, and would welcome anyone who has any details of my grandfather Frank Dent who worked at the Rookery from 1936-1946, he is buried at St Peter's but I have never been able to find anyone who can identify his grave.

Two of my uncles are mentioned on the war memorials in the church Roland (Dinkie) Dent who was killed in 1944 over Berlin, his name is sketched into a chest opposite the memorial in the church, although the memorial in the churchyard has him as Robert Dent. And his brother Cyril Robert (Bunt) Dent who survived the war and moved to America. My cousin Cordelia Smith was christened in the church in 1945.

If anyone has a plan of the graveyard and the position of the grave of Frank Dent I would be most grateful, I have visited before and written to the vicarage but have had no luck in gaining a response.

      Thank you Jane Dent
