I may be visiting the area soon and would like to take photographs if so. Thanks again. Frances Kent Respond to this message Goto Forum Home some of my wifes ancesters were bartrams.byI believe we may be related as my grandmother was Mary Ann Bartram of Sewstern and had five brothers , two of which were named Edgar and Arthur. There are several headstones to Bartrams in Buckminster churchyard. I hope this may be of some interest to you. Linda Green. Respond to this message Goto Forum Home Wymondham May FestivalbyYou can read more at http://wymondham-may-festival.le14.co.uk which should develop into an archive about this and future festivals. See you there! Jake WebCobbler to Wymondham (... when time permits) Respond to this message Goto Forum Home May Festival website currently unavailableby Jake YoungThe Festival is on Saturday 6th May, commencing with an inter-village kids' football tournament at the School at 10:30am before Maypole and Morris Dancing on the Green at lunchtime. There'll be stalls, games and a beer tent on the Green, with other activities at the Berkeley Arms and Village Hall. Prize-giving will be on the Green at 4:30pm and the afternoon will end with a Gospel Singing Workshop at the Church. There will also be a wedding during the afternoon, so if planning a visit to the Church please choose an appropriate time. During the evening there will be a performance by Hank Wangford and Reg Meuross at the Village Hall, rounding off a day to remember. We look forward to seeing you! Respond to this message Goto Forum Home Ivor Rae HickmanbyIvor Rae Hickman, was born in Southampton, and graduated from Cambridge. He was married and working in Manchester at the time of going to Spain, where he was killed in action in September 1938. His father, George Hickman, a poultry farmer, was living in Wymondham at the time of his death in 1937. Respond to this message Goto Forum Home Re: Ivor Rae HickmanbyI can confirm your query has been published on the letters page of this week's Melton Times, where it should be spotted by Trevor and Pam Hickman of Wymondham. Regards, Jake Young Webcobbler to Wymondham Respond to this message Goto Forum Home George HickmanbyI was interested in your post dated 1 Mar 2006. I believe the George Hickman you refer to is my Grand Uncle. I have information on George's ancestors, but I'm afraid I have nothing on his descendants. If you are interested you can contact me on the above email address and perhaps we may be able to help each other out. Jan Davis PS You might also be interested to know that Trevor Hickman (local author who also lives in Wymondham is George's nephew).
