Hello All ,

I know I am going to be the Scourge of ML for writing this but . Why do more people post here to complain about the complainers about kits than to add about the kits . There is more bashing of the Rivet counters going on, on almost all the sites than is constructive adding to the actual posts about the kits . Are these sites not here to actually talk about the kits and modeling ? To those of you out there that say if it looks like a Pz IV then it must be a Pz IV why complain . To those that ask why complain about such a great kit ? To those that ask why complain look at where this hobby is today as per yesterday ? This hobby and the high standard of the kits today is where its at because of these nit picking rivet counters . Do you think any company would improve their kits especially even fix their errors if it was'nt brought forward and explained and shown what was wrong ? Ask your self where would this hobby be if not for these people . These people that you people constantly bash everytime they bring up a new point are the reason this hobby is where it is at . Don't take me wrong I happen to love both the Tristar and DML kits and already own a few of each . But I do see mistakes and discrepencies with them . I tell you something else 6 months from now many of the ones bashing the rivet counters will pull their kits down and start to build them . The first thing %80 of those people will do is post here and ask what is wrong with this kit are their any tweaks , how do I fix it ? I applaud Tom Cockle for the work he has done on the new DML IV and of all his work . Tom Cockle in my book is a perfect gentleman and my favorite modeler , has been since around 1978 when he made the Gunze III J into a III G . Tom is a stalwarth leader in this hobby who leads by example . Now I always thought that these sites were for the reason of discussing the kits and modeling , but it seems to me the ones doing the leg work on these subjects are the ones being bashed more and more on a daily basis here . The next time you write on these pages to bash or make fun of the rivet counters , remember they also will be the ones that have the answers to your future questions . Remember if it looks like a Pz IV why complain ? Well if you have that additude then go buy the Tamiya Pz IV D kit I believe it was the 1978 Military kit of the year . I know I have rambled on forever here but this hobby would not be where it is today without those 1 to 2 mm off guys and I say thank you to them .

Brian
