Response to If it LOOKS Like a Pz IV then it must be a Pz IV ????

There´s been a lot of debate about his lately, I just have to give air to my personal thoughts in this matter. Several has said it before me: we have never had it so good! The new PzKpfv IV ausf E from Dragon is marvelous, I´m very greatful to Dragon, AFV Club, Tristar and others for their efforts. T unselfish guys like Tom Cockle in particular!!
But nevertheless, all you nitpickers, please continue!
Me, I´m the kind of modeller that rates accuracy of the end model highly. If a fellow modeller finds a fault in a kit and tells me about it on a DG like this one, he has helped me! With this knowledge I can chose whether to do anything about a fault or not. No, Manuel, I will not rebuild to correct a few mm overall length error or correct a fraction of a degree of armour slope either. But I will seriously consider to do something about distortions that can bee seen or correct faulty details. Dragons early (Flak 18) barrel is an example, what I´ve just learned about wheel spacing on P IV another. I will probably have learned more about the real tank or gun as well, a bonus in this hobby.
I belive that nitpickers who tell us about their findings does not do it out of spite, I belive they do it because the information can be of value to others. It is of value to me, therefore also I say thank you to them.

The discussion about the fit problems of the Tristar P IV has also been of great help, now I know where to be careful, with a better result in the end!

Like others, I belive that this is good for the hobby in general, serious manufacturers listen to our feedback, the best of them corrects their faults.

Tomas
