Marder II paint question

Hey All - I'm building a destroyed Marder II (new DML kit) and was wondering if anyone had any idea what color would be behind and underneath the Panzer Yellow.
1) Since these were built on Panzer IIs would there be Panzer grey under the yellow on the hull?
2) I'm going to leave at least one rear ammo bin off. Would the color under these ammo bins be grey, yellow or primer red?
3) does anyone know if these "refurbished" vehicles were entirely primed in red?
