Placing a siG33 on a Bison I

Just bought Dragon's nicely detailed Bison I (6259) and I would like to dismount the SiG33 gun. How was it normally installed? I have one picture of a crane but would it be possible to pull the gun backwards, adding two bars/U shaped bars from the end of the engine deck to the ground, similar to the Demag SdKfz10 when the flak was removed? And the superstructure should be removed too I guess due to the wheels...?

regards,

Eric
