...but it looks like it is painted in at least two tones during the appropriate timeframe and it appears that all of these were subordinated to 7.Armee and were eventually trapped in Cherbourg, but this is old info and I am not aware if new info has since arisen.

Here are a few links. Niels Henkemans is studying the fighting in the Cotentin Peninsula and I know is interested in these vehicles also and may be able to provide more up-to-date info as he has discovered some fantastic stuff. He may notice this post and add to it. My interest lies primarily on the opposite end of the Normandy bridgehead, so all I can do is provide some links and let you go from there.
