Just to clarify, the information above is from TIC I, 1994 edition, page 165, says ...that two Tiger II were left at Mailly le Camp after they had broken down during a demonstration... page 166, says, ...von Rosen (a 3rd Kp Zug Chef),under his own inititave, saves the 2 Tigers (Tiger II) that were left behind at Mailly le Camp and they are transported back to Germany....
Page 218 has a photo of a Porsche turret Tiger II in Hungary and says ..two were delivered to 3rd kp having been left behind at M le C in August 44...
Other books (titles cannot be remembered), says one of these two Porsche turreted Tiger II was #314 and that later #314 is also called "Annaliese" and is photographed in the snow in Hungary (?) 1944/45
And I am reading 1,8,44 also as the 1st August 1944 period of time .
cheers leonard paul
