Hi Fred, yes allowing public (so to speak) viewing of this type of information is always a double edged sword, one the one hand it opens the possibilities of downloading and publishing without the museums permission, always a problem. But on the other hand it makes known the work that is going on behind the scenes and creates interest, which can in turn lead to a better sharing of information not readily available. I proscribe to the view point that information not shared is definitely information that is lost, never mind that the distribution of such information might be abused by some unscrupulous individuals. I have seen other websites with restoration project on the go but the images always seem just too little and not quite of decent quality so we are posting a fairly good quality image. (A hint, if you right click the images you will ge the full resolution image.) Also it should be noted that because of the header the blog does have official sanction so enjoy!
