But....... I could be very wrong but I think in the "Wittman video" we are actually looking at Otto Carius.
I have read the book from Carius (Tigers in the mud)and in there are a couple of pictures of the man ,which very much looks like the man in the video ?????

ww2 footage..

Hi,
A lot of interesting footage again..! But is there any chance you've come across some footage showing some of the parachute drops at Arnhem? I'm talking about the footage shot from a treeline along one of the British Dropzones.. I've seen parts of the footage on Discovery (and they seem to show it multiple times every time they do stuff about Arnhem, sometimes mirrored, but never the whole sequence..) And I was wondering if you've found that one too?
The footage shows a battalion of SS (dutch) troops firing into the air with machineguns and rifles, and a flak vehicle which I haven't been able to indentify..
If you know this, could you please send me a link or post the link here?

Wittmann..

The "Wittmann" sequence is just a compilation of various "Tiger" clips, and indeed shows Otto Carius briefing his crews (Tamiya made a set of this scene, abd it was included with their 'mid' Tiger 1 "carius" kit)
